Webcasts to ring out the old and ring in the new

On December 19 I’ll be speaking on conflicts of interest on an ECOA webcastAmong other things, I’ll review best practices in COI risk assessment and mitigation, including policy drafting, management and board training, oversight, certifications, disclosures/approvals, monitoring, auditing, self-assessment and investigations.  Web cast attendees will be invited to engage in real-time benchmarking on conflicts mitigation measures through the use of anonymous polling technology.

And on January 9 Rebecca and I will be speaking on a PLI webcast – Setting Your Compliance Program Agenda for 2013.   Among other things, we’ll discuss what steps, given government expectations, companies should consider taking in the coming year to enhance their organization’s compliance culture; conduct refresher risk assessments; review their codes of conduct, other policies and training/communications plans; implement appropriately targeted compliance auditing and monitoring measures; conduct meaningful self-assessments; extend compliance standards, as appropriate, to third parties; and  document compliance efforts through drafting or revising a program charter.

Both webcasts make great holiday gifts.  And, if you’re looking for a “stocking stuffer,” consider this just-recorded podcast on board oversight of compliance programs, presented by TheCorporateCounsel.net.
